I have the silicone straws too, which I love. What is nice about these straws is that since they are hard, they can be used to stir in drink mixes. Also they are smaller than the silicone straws and fit better in the slider lids.

You can see the straw along with the cup. I grabbed the straws because of the added soft tips and the cleaning brush. They're perfect for Florida because you don't end up burning your lip on the metal, and it keeps the flies/or other flying bugs out of the drinks because of the angle of the straw. The brush makes it a snap to keep the straws clean and bacteria free.
