90 Second Microwave Chocolate Chip Muffin In A Mug

Dammmnnnn she done did it again!

Since my pizza in a mug recipe blew my mind I had to try the "chocolate chip" muffin in a mug. I put chocolate chip in parentheses because it was actually a blueberry muffin recipe (which you can totally do with blueberries) but who doesn't love chocolate am I right? Take a look at how it came out HERE: 


  • 1/4 cup flour (or gluten-free flour which I used)
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt 
  • pinch cinnamon 
  • 1/2 Tbsp butter 
  • 2 Tbsp milk 


  • In a microwave safe mug, stir together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. 
  • Add the butter to the mug ( maybe microwave butter first) and mix in. 
  • Stir the milk into the butter/flour mixture. It should now resemble a thick muffin batter. If it’s too dry, add a splash more milk. Sprinkle blueberries or chocolate chips over top.
  • Microwave on high for approximately 90 seconds. Feel free to add a drizzle of syrup!
